My opinion on the value of reading and writing is that without these important skills people wont be able to communicate effectively and also the concept of teaching and learning will not exist because there wouldn't be a way to explain a concept without the teacher knowing what the subject is and the student wouldn't know how to save the idea unless they really put it in their memory. Also the school system would be hurt because if nobody has these skills students wouldn't be able to learn new concepts. Although not being able to read doesn't mean that you can't learn. Some people don't need to read a book or read directions to understand how to operate some things. Some people learn new things by just watching what another person does. In the end it depends up to what point you can process information without reading that matters.

Being able to read is one of the most important skills that an individual must develop if they want to succeed in life. Most kids begin to read in elementary school and this allows them to continue on with higher levels of education in order for them to achieve their dream career. Reading and learning are two things that go hand-in-hand. First, we must learn to read and then we read in order to learn further. It's true that some people learn better at hands-on training but there is more to learn by reading printed material like autobiographies, textbooks, novels, newspapers, online articles, published research findings, historic documents, etc. I feel this way because, from personal experience as a student, I've had many times when I didn't quite catch the lesson during class so I would read the section once again on my own to understand it better. Being able to read has saved me and my grades many times because I review for tests by reading my notes. More often than not, people that read a lot experience more success in their studies or their careers because the information that they've read are imprinted in their mind and they can utilize these information into their work. Especially in our world today where online classes are being offered by colleges and most major news are first reported online, it would be difficult for someone who can't read to keep up with news, politics, scientific updates, and other vital information that is necessary for one to be properly educated so everyone should make it their priority to learn how to read.

In my opinion, the value of reading and learning are skills that go hand-in-hand. In order to learn and let alone, live in terms of today's society, reading is a fundamental skill that you would need to do almost anything, read directions, fulfill school-related tasks, reading signs, and even for leisure related intents (reading a book, using the internet, etc.)

I, myself, realize that if I did not know how to read, it would be difficult to get through life alone. The use of reading is used commonly throughout the world for comprehension and for learning purposes. Whether it would be going online to know the weather for today you would still be learning something so small and invaluable, but you would be getting something out of it. Also, letters can be found on pictures that can help you learn, or indicate what event it was from.

There are people in the world who do have many different setbacks that keeps them from being able to learn, but then again, there are people who learn differently than others. Learning is a vital skill that we must take in order to be able to pursue almost anything. For example, a student who can't learn in a crowded environment would commonly go into independent studies or into a school of smaller classes in order to fall into their comfortable level of learning.

Whether you're learning something invaluable or something that can change your life, it's a vital factor to life in order to go with the motions and grow as a person to adapt to today's society.

Reading is the first step to learning to advance anywhere: It's crucial to anyone who wants to get where they want to, and in order to do that, they would have to get an education, learn to read and learn the facts to get through life so that they can succeed or at least learn a fundamental skill in today's society.

I highly value the experience of reading and learning. They both serve as foundations to the progress and integrity of mankind. Without reading and learning, we would still be cavemen/women dancing hysterically around fires instead of building landmarks and skyscrapers! Anyways, reading and learning are both essential to the growth of an individual. We go to school to learn – to better equip ourselves for the “real world” and all it has to offer. We read books to fill our brain arsenals with knowledge so we are armed with confidence when we make decisions and with whatever we wish to pursue in life. Many monumental figures of our time, such as the late Steve Jobs, all reached success not by doing halfway work, but by reading and learning. Jobs didn’t just dream of an innovative cellphone/mp3/computer and wake up with a tangible version in hand; he had to educate himself on the technology it took to make it function and look the way it does today. It really is amazing how much a little bit of effort to learn and better ones self can achieve.

emphasizing that reading and learning is a special part of our education and a continuing throughout our life. Like saying for instance, good readers can understand the individual sentences and the organizational structure of a writing. They can comprehend ideas, following up an arguments or so, and detect connection. Readers know most of the words in the text, but they can also determine the meaning of many of the unfamiliar words from the context. Good readers can extract from the writing what is important for the particular task they are engage in. Anyone with a big vocabulary tend to be a good reader but it not much as to that some can experience by learning from it. As for learner you don't need like better education to teach you. Example that there are book that can help you learn by yourself. Many people are different when it come to learning, some have disability when it comes to learning, some people just don't want to learn etc. People when learning it comes not only from yourself but by teachers without them there is nothing much you can do to teach it from you. By saying that both the concepts of reading and learning is a connection that to many people know how to read and follow the learning process from it. The importance of it that everyone is different when it come to those main part but beside everyone has to do it in order to get a good job, etc. So basically without any reading or learning experiences it a phenomenon that no one will get to set their goals in life without it.

  6. I believe reading and learning are the 2 main factors we need to survive. Our education is very important.Your future depends on how much you know and how well you can use your knowledge in the field you study. If you do not know how to do anything in life, and you depend on others, you will get no where. Reading and learning is a huge impact in your life. Being able to read can you give you a lot of advantages in life. For example, if you apply for a job, you will most likely get the job compared to someone who does not know how to read well. Being ale to learn new things and adapt to new ideas will help you a lot in the future. What you learn will effect what you do in the future. For example, you learned how to bake a cake and in the future you want to bake another cake, you will already know how to make one. Reading and learning will make your life a lot easier. However, not everybody has the privilege to learn how to read. I highly value reading and learning. I believe everyone should be able to educated in everything they do.

I believe that reading and learning is a necessary aspect for us because reading helped us understand something that we haven't encountered in our life. I for myself value reading more than writing because if I can't read something then I cannot write something I read. Reading, for some of us, is the most important thing rather than other stuff because reading gives us knowledge on something we don't know. Reading also helps us learn new things. If we read something out of a book or a newspaper article, then we learn about it. Both reading and learning is a very important yet basic component in our life. I am lucky enough to be a person who knows how to read and learn things in life because a lot of people are very unfortunate to not learn how to read because of their life status.

To me, reading and learning are important to honing your skills as a student and thinker. Reading can help people's imagination grow which can bring about new "crazy" ideas that could become the future. Reading can also make people think in a way that they didn't before or make people more conscious about something. For example, if someone were to read Media Control, they may see our government differently because the book talks about how our government uses the media to influence the way we think.
Reading contributes to learning. It can teach people how to read between the lines or see the deeper meaning. Reading can also helps people become more persuasive with the way they talk. Learning keeps human beings from being mindless fools. Learning also makes people different so that we aren't just zombies doing whatever we're told. It allows us to question things in life that may not have been questioned before there was education. For example, when people used to be educated by the church, no one dared question
God. After the renaissance, people began to question the church and new ideas began to unravel.
I feel this way because I have personally been affected by learning and reading. Books have changed my perspective on the way I see higher authorities and how I see public education in America. I have also been able to question some of the ideas others have tried to evangelize me to believe. I feel as if the knowledge I gained from learning and reading has allowed me to actually think for myself and not have to just believe the things others tell me to believe.

My opinion on the value of reading and learning is very important. Reading and learning is the key to a bright and successful future, without it the world would be lost. Everything that we do everyday contains reading and leaning every second of our lives, such as, reading signs, texting, reading newspaper, go on the internet, and etc. Our world would be very limited on the sources that we need everyday to get through by everyday if there wasn't reading and learning. Without reading and learning, there would be no communication at all between people.

From my personal experience, I did not know how to read or write in English when I first came here, and it was horrifying to me at first, because I could not communicate with anyone at school and outside of school. Basically, I could not do anything at all due to my lack of learning and reading. After I learned how to read and write in English, it made my life so much easier, but sometimes I still can't understand lessons that were taught to me at school, that I need to read it myself couple of times due to the lack of my vocabulary and unfamiliar words.

Another experience is my grandparents. They don't speak English at all and it's very difficult for them to communicate with people out there. Not knowing how to read or speak, my grandpa would not be able to ask for cigarettes at a gas station or my grandma would not know if there are sales in grocery stores because due to lacking of reading. They would need my help to translate and help them in everything, which I still do. After I started teaching them how to speak, they implied that knowledge that I gave them into themselves and it made their lives a bit easier, even though they still don't understand a lot.

A lot of people have their own ways of learning and learning how to read. Some people can learn faster and some slower. Nothing is impossible in this world, it's just the matter of you trying hard and persuading towards that education. Knowing how to read and apply the knowledge that you got from learning can get you anywhere in the future, whether to be the next greatest doctor to a new powerful inventor. Not a lot of people have the privilege to get an education, but I believe that people can self-teach themselves to have a brighter future, like most famous inventors, they would quit or drop out half way of school and start self-teaching themselves with two simple skills that they have, which are learning and reading, a great example is Steve Jobs. Whether you have money or not, it's the commitment and the desire to learn.

  10. In my opinion, reading and learning are essential components in our lives. These skills enable us individuals to ameliorate our knowledge and utilize it to our advantage. For instance, if I had an intense curiosity about literature, I would push myself towards learning about it by reading plenty of books that pertain to important aspects of that subject as well as apply that knowledge and the reading and critical analysis skills that I've acquired from it to a career field in writing. Of course, I'm not really interested in this field, but if I were, reading and learning would serve as 2 momentous advantages to me in order to achieve my goals.

Without reading or learning, practically everyone in this planet would probably be as simple-minded as a sack. They wouldn't be able to hold their own in verbal debates nor communicate with each other very well. Therefore, reading and learning are absolutely necessary in order to become more intelligent and get what we want. I feel that these factors enrich our minds intellectually because they are the tools that act as momentum to get us further ahead in life. Unless you are incredibly gifted at memorizing things that people communicate to you verbally, which is extremely rare, you won't be able to give yourself challenges to overcome or resources to lead you towards your ideal future for yourself. Heck even something that seems as simple as reading a magazine can give you more knowledge to utilize in everyday life as well as in difficult situations like trying to get a high-paying job in the real world. At least it's a start. You don't want to end up like those bums who sit in their friend's basement all day playing video games and having no purpose in life.

I feel that the knowledge that I've gained from reading and learning have enhanced my verbal vocabulary as well as pushed me towards my main goals.

  11. In my opinion i feel that reading and writing are very vital skills you need in life. Without these skills people cannot communicate effectively and learn better. Learning to read is very essential to success. But you don't always have to know how to read just to learn new things, not everybody can ready but they can still go on and do things. But those two things are highly valued if you want to excel in your education and gain more knowledge. i personally think reading is more important than writing because if you cant read then what makes you think you can write, reading also helps you learn more things. Without reading and writing you will have lots of disadvantages and would have to rely on others.I high value reading because i wouldn't go far in life i couldn't and i take it to my advantage.

My opinion is that reading and learning are very important things in life. Without Reading there will be noway in life that you can manage. Learning is also very important because without it you will not be able to find new things out or be able to understand how things work. I used to think learning and reading were just a big waste of time but as I got older I understood that it's very essential for life.

Reading, it gets you to know new words and find out new ways of writing. Every time I am reading I sometimes or most of the times, depending on what I am reading, I bump into words that I am not familiar with and that's when learning comes in. When I don't know a word I read the sentences over and over again so I can find a clue in the sentence to find out what that word means and if I can't figure out what it means I search it up and read what it means and learn that word.

Learning, Without learning I believe we will be nowhere in life because learning is a huge part of life because people are always curious and wondering how things work and they find out by learning and seeing how it's done, and with that they get to learn a new thing just how we as high school students learn everyday so we could use that knowledge to help others out in the future and give them knowledge.

With learning and reading I also got to know many new things and use different vocabulary than what I used to use and I also gained much more knowledge from that vocabulary.

Reading is one of the most important aspects of life that you will ever learn. the value of reading the skills we learn from this are essential in the way we communicate in a paper, in person and with others. By reading more we have a better vocabulary and sound much smarter. Also when we start to read those books that involve you to look at the situation in a different aspect you learn how to analyze things and really understand where someone else might be going.
Learning is something everyone take part in everyday. You learn something new every day, weather it be minor or major. Being Book smart will get you far because of how much knowledge you have stored. Being street smart allows you to better understand your surroundings.
Without reading or learning we would be no where in life, no one would be smart and everyone wouldn't be able to retain any information they receive.
As a child I was only allow to read most of the day so learning to read at a young age did give me an advantage at school that helped me progress. Learning new words from books made me more confident in speaking as well. So I do feel that reading/learning is so important to someones everyday life.

  14. To me knowledge is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. The ability to read and write goes hand in hand with the the ability to gain knowledge. When someone obtains the aptitude to read they have opened more opportunities for a bright future. It's just what the person does with that knowledge. With the capability to read comes the capability to learn. As Mr. Lucero said, "knowledge is not always about academia", but also the ability take advantage of that knowledge. A socially awkward, germaphobe could have the highest SAT scores, but not be able to contribute anything of importance to the society to which he belongs. Learning to be street smart, intelligent, and knowledgeable takes a lot of work, but it is pivotal that you know how to do things on your own. With a person who was born out of a rich and famous family, and to every stage in his/her life was given to him by a connections. It is much more rewarding to go through life knowing that you did not have to rely on others.

The value of learning is inherent in every person and people were built to learn. Learning is power, learning has allowed man to live longer, move faster and reach places people wouldn't have dared think of two hundred years ago. The reason I feel that knowledge is important is because in to days society people with knowledge lead a long happy lives and have little emotional or inferiority complex problems. When a child is first born a child will ask the question "WHY" hundreds of times because children are thirsty for knowledge. And no amount of connections will ever come close to the power you will receive with a high education an if you so choose you can learn how to network and connections can be made, with knowledge.

In much more simpler terms knowledge is valued for what it can give you. Every time a student goes to school and learns something new they challenge themselves and make an investment in a high interest bond that will pay off down the road. Statistically a person who has more of and education will make more money when they grow older than someone with a lesser education. You obtain a good education in school and get good grades so you can be accepted to a good college and receive a college diploma that will open doors for you in the job market and the job you receive will be a whole lot better, pay a hole lot more and will me more to you than the job you would have settled for after you dropped out of high school be cause you were too cool for school.

In my opinion reading and learning are one of the essential skills needed in life. I believe that without the power of learning, people are unable to create any sense of direction in their lives. Every aspect of our lives is affected by developments that were possible through reading and learning. For example, people could not build great architectural monuments without first learning the math and planning behind them.

I can say from my own personal experience, that learning was one of the most important aspects of my life. When I was born I quickly moved to Korea and spent a large portion of my childhood there. Therefore, when I got back to America, I had no idea how to read or speak English. When I started to learning English through my mother and two older brothers it started to open up a whole new world to me. Suddenly, the scary place that I called school was actually a place I enjoyed going to. When I learned how to effectively read, it really boosted my ability to learn as well.

Reading and learning truly go hand in hand. Some people may say that the best way to learn is through example. In my opinion, one of the best ways to be knowledgeable is through reading. There is something about reading that makes your brain feel like it is able to process thoughts quicker and allow good choice making. I have been so impacted by learning the ability to read that I believe that there is almost nothing more important than reading and learning.

First off, the value of reading to me is that reading is the key to learning. Without reading, there is no learning, there is no education. Reading is very important to me, not necessarily reading books but reading in general. The ability to read should be taken advantage of without a doubt. I'm absolutely positive a blind man or woman would kill to be able to see and be able to read things. I believe the more you read books, the more intelligent and the more sophisticated you will become.

My reading skill level was below average throughout elementary and middle school. But for some odd reason when I entered the Business academy,I became more interested in reading books. But most of all, my skill in reading aloud in class improved so much. It might be because how my English teacher Mr.Lucero teaches the class or just the fact that I am in the Business Academy where you have to be able to present in front of a crowd or class. I actually enjoy reading out loud because I like to challenge myself to see if I could do it without making a mistake. I've read aloud at my church in front of a crowd of a good one hundred. I had read the readings for that day, I was so nervous because the way the bible says things are very different from anything else I've read. I pulled through and everyone thought I did great because I read loud, calm and slow.

The value of learning is also important because learning can get you somewhere in life. The better your grades are in high school the better chances you won't be working at a fast food place when you're older. I believe people, not only students should value reading and learning as much as they can only value themselves.

My view on the value of reading and learning is that it’s without a doubt the most useful skills you’ll have in your life. Without it the world wouldn’t be where it is right now. I believe that ability to learn and read is what differentiates us from animals, without it we are no better than a chimp at a zoo. Also you can’t just read without learning and vice versa because they’re both of equal importance. Everyone single person on this earth should value these skills because in my opinion these are the only two skills you really need in life. I feel that those two skills apply to almost all aspects of people’s lives. But I also believe that if a person reads and learns but doesn’t use then it’s useless. Knowledge is power when it’s used but foolish when not utilized. So learning and reading are important is needed to make this world go round.

To be able to read and learn is very important to move on in your life. Reading aloud or to ourselves help us learn to think about questions for the information we're reading; we would interpret these information in our head and we learn more about what we didn't know already. The more we learn, the more intelligent we become and our abilities to improve the society will be honed. In Animal Farm, the sheeps were easily manipulated because they didn't have good reading or learning abilities; allowing the pigs to take advantage of them. Many people say that history repeats itself no matter how many times they have to go through an event; we can start changing that by improving the reading and learning skills of generations one at a time.

My views on reading are that reading and learning is it is an important factor in our lives that we often take for granted. Reading and learning are things we had to learn as a child without a cost. Most things that are “brought” have value that we admire but the things we learn in school are the things that will live and affect our lives forever. Without an education of reading how would we find our way around, have a job, or even know who we are if we couldn’t eve spell our own names? I feel this way because I know the history of my ancestors and how they weren’t able to read, write, or have any type of education makes me realize that I am privileged to have the knowledge and opportunities I have today.

I feel that learning is awesome and it gives you the chance to learn something new or gives you insight on something you already knew. I want to dance professionally, but I didn’t know how much a professional dancer got paid, until I did some researched on it. I learned that dancers don’t get paid much. Learning how to do things are so important in life. How will you know how to work a camera if you don’t learn how to operate it? When you read books magazines, articles etc, you broaden your knowledge, you increase the amount of information you know think it’s vital that everyone learns how to read. It’s impossible to go through life smoothly if you don’t know how to read. Reading will help you be aware and help you understand things you wouldnt've known if you didn’t know how to read. African slaves in America were not taught how to read, it was a punishable crime back then. An African slave was caught being taught how to read and his slave master burned his eyes out. Back then most slaves couldn’t escape from their plantations because they couldn’t read the signs or the maps that would lead them to the north. Most runaway slaves were completely lost while trying to escape slavery, because they did not know how to read, and if you don’t know how to read, you don’t the right direction to go. The slave masters knew that reading was going to give the slaves knowledge and understanding, so they took away their right to learn how to read. As I look back I just say to myself “wow, there was a time when my ancestors were not allowed to read or write”. When I think about it, it makes me appreciate the fact I’m in school learning and reading. I’m glad I know how to read, I learn a lot from reading. When you learn information you will help yourself avoid a lot of unnecessary problems. In criminal justice class I learned that a cop cannot search your house without a warrant, but if I wouldn’t have learned that I would have let the cop into my house. Knowledge is power applied

My opinion on reading and learning is that it is very important because without any research we wouldnt be where we are today with technology even our political structure. Through the research that we come upon it takes us to a new level of not only knowledge but power. If people were not to read or learn we would be manipulated easily, and our society would not be standing as strong as it has been. No matter who you are or where you are knowledge is power, without knowing anything we would never be able to satdn for our own thoughts. We would not be able to present evidence to support what we believe, we probaly wouldnt even consider the possibilities of anything because we would leave it up to people who say they know something, but possibly could be clueless as yourself. Reading and learning have created our society today, our government or education and our society would not be satdning without either one of them
