English III Journal (Freedom and Equality)
What does freedom and equality mean to you? Are these rights something you take for granted or do you hold them precious?
What is the difference between liberty and democracy? Which one (liberty & democracy) is more important to you?
Emely Perez Liberty is freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc. power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice. This to me I like because this lets me be who I want to be without any limits. I also do believe that some people take advantage of the rights that are available for us for example the freedom of speech and freedom of expression does not give a person the right to do things that are detrimental to society as a whole. The difference between a democracy and liberty is that you can have you liberty but the government also known as the democracy makes the limits to your liberty. Both liberty and democracy are important to me because of the fact that I can enjoy what I do and who I am and also knowing that I have certain laws to respect that let me be who I am.
Freedom is the ability to do what you want, to an extent. Equality is having uniform treatment for everyone, no matter what their stature is in life. It's just that some people are more fortunate, and therefore are viewed as, "More equal than others," like in "Animal Farm." During freedom, you are granted the ability to act as you wish, without anyone limiting you (that is sometimes limited by what is deemed acceptable). When equality is a general rule, most people are content. Everyone has equal rights to freedom-Freedom of speech, press, and religion are examples of what we have rights in. Revisiting what used to be a conflicted, prejudice United States, I hold the rights of freedom and equality as precious. That would mean that without the two, I probably would not have the same opportunities that I have today, whether it be in education to buying from the same store as someone of another race. Liberty is general freedom for all, whereas a democracy is freedom based upon what the population votes on. It's a way to choose the final decision to tell upper authority what the people want. Liberty is a bigger idea and covers the right to participate in or even have a democracy. It can also go the other way. With a democracy, the people could end up with or without liberty. Although liberty is a bigger idea, a democracy determines the rules on how to live. Because of that, i find a democracy is more important. Laws are based upon what the votes are. Those votes can determine the grade of our liberty. If we didn't have a democracy, it wouldn't matter how much liberty we had, if we were going to be restricted by laws placed upon us that pretty much take away the freedom. Both are essential, and work hand in hand with freedom and equality.
Freedom and equality, to me, means independence. If one has freedom, they have the privilege of choice, which a lot of people don't exactly have in parts of the world. Equality, another overlooked item, is where no one can be judged, there are no questions raised as to what or who you are, you're just as important as the next person, and that's how I see it.
Both of these rights, I do take for granted, because they are topics not commonly discussed about. People can claim to be free, but freedom has multiple uses that most won't comprehend. I know that I am 'free' while I live in the United States, I know that I have rights, and I know that I have the liberty of improving myself above others if I dare choose, but the problem is that I don't think about that as often as I should or thank God for giving me the opportunity to live in such a great country.
The difference between liberty and democracy is the way they are used. Liberty is generally freedom, the basis of a democracy; You have the freedom to voice your opinion and vote for what you choose. But, in some cases, democracy goes against the properties of liberty where a majority can have the upper hand over the minority, which contradicts the beginning of what a democracy really was.
In my opinion, liberty is more important, only because I am a fiscal conservative with values that believe that the uneducated majority can ruin what is now a great nation. The people need an educated leader to make good decisions, and I believe that I have the freedom to vote for who I choose, and let them speak for me. Liberty is basic freedom to do whatever, democracy can limit your freedom just to the ballot box.
Freedom and equality are two completely different things. To me, freedom is where an individual is given the right to do what they want without having consequence. Equality on the other hand is where every person is given the same rights, but not necessarily of freedom. Personally it all depends what freedom is given to me which determines whether or not I take it for granted. The freedom my parents give me is more valuable than my constitutional freedom I believe. I have realized I do take the privelage of freedom from my country for granted. However, since I know the freedom from my parents is harder to gain back, I don't take that freedom for granted. Equality is something I do take preciously. I know what it's like to not be given the same rights as another, therefore I don't take it for granted. Every human should be allowed the same privelages. Liberty is one's own, given freedom. On the other hand, democracy is where you are given the chance to be apart of a whole which chooses rights. Liberty is more important because it is your own and no one can interfere with it or change it unless under your circumstances. With democracy, majority makes the decision, and sometimes that decision does not help you individually and could possibly revoke your freedom. It's stated as one's right to liberty making it much more significant than democracy.
Freedom and equality. Two terms used a fair bit amount today. But what exactly do they mean? Freedom is the right to do as you want without anyone preventing you from doing so. Equality is the idea of being at the same equal status as everyone else, having no more, no less, but just the same as everyone. While both seem like excellent and necessary concepts to have within a society, there are some negatives about each that could be used against you. For example, freedom gives all the right to do as they please, yet if that were how it was exactly, there would be nothing preventing killers from slaughtering the innocent or thieves from looting every person that walks by. And for equality, what if the general population had little rights or their standard of living was little to none? Then equality at that point would mean almost nothing. What is truly the best however, is a balance or set amount to the both. Not too much liberty and a reasonably set standard for equality. As for liberty and democracy. Liberty is the given right to freedom that (like freedom) permits you to do as you wish with no interference. Democracy is giving your fate into the hands of the majority of the population. Which is like putting your future out and letting it to chance, it could end good, it could end bad. And although each could have their own negative effects, there is no in-between with either of these. But you could have a mixture of both, where the majority could decide whether or not they should have liberty or not, but then again. It is in the hands of the majority, not your own. Which concludes me with saying Liberty is the more suitable option, for it is already guaranteed freedom, all I have to do is, make my own choice and decide to have it.
in my opinion, when i hear freedom or equality, i think of everyone has rights to do almost anything they want. this means that there's not just one person controlling every single person and deciding what they do. they are able to make their own decisions and choices based on their surroundings. we should hold our our privileges of freedom in this country as precious. this gives our country the ability to speak and try to better it, while many other countries have one person decides whats best and if it doesn't work, then its not good for the people of the country. liberty is "freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions,etc."(dictionary.com) Democracy is "government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system" (dictionary.com) i feel that a democracy is a better option. the government decides what happens in a country, but the people have more of the right to help influence what well do if the government listens to what we want to see happen in our country.
Darren Nguyen Freedom and Equality can both lead to a main point which is in my opinion peoples individual rights. If you think about it although having equality limits you to the amount of "freedom" you have its still granting you enough balance of freedom. I look at it as if the majority of the people agree with whats right or wrong then your freedom is granted although you may not have what you want. Freedom is more of a pure substance where you would think you could do what ever you want. I'm against that. Although having freedom is nice we must be limited with freedom and that's where equality comes into play.
For Liberty and Democracy it is a lot like comparing freedom and equality. When being democratic majority of the people are heard. Not as if it were some individual person's liberty. It would be out of balance if a person would think he would have unlimited liberty. Having a lot of people think about liberty at will would corrupt the concept of democracy. Liberty is more individual while democracy is more of a mass.
Freedom to me means independence, you can basically do anything you want. Whenever and what ever you want but only to a certain point. Though you can do anything you want, those things may have consequences that you have to face. So at the same time you have to be wise with freedom. Equality means everyone getting the same rights. Basically every one is the same and our skin is only the surface. We are all the same and everyone should be equal. No one is judged and everybody is looked at not necessarily the same but close to that. I do take these rights for granted since they are never really talked about. We maybe thinking about it but we don't actually really think about it. Freedom I always take for granted, since I can go out most of the time but always come home late. Therefore I am risking my freedom. Freedom has a lot of different definitions. For me it's being able to go out not everyday but most of the time. I think everyone takes freedom and equality for granted. Liberty is general freedom for every person. Democracy is having the right to state your opinion and you basically get to choose what you want. I think liberty is more important to me, since it's already for sure freedom that is guaranteed.
Freedom and equality, to me work both hand in hand for one. Both have great advantages that work in your favor, but only to a certain extent. Freedom, is when you can do whatever you want, not literally but to a point where you feel held back. Freedom comes in many forms. such as having the right to speak up with your own opinions, listening to whatever music you like, and wearing clothes that fit your personality. It's something that shouldn't cause harm or influence other people in an obstruct manner. For example, if a student was wearing a shirt to school with a gang sign, or drugs on it, it is inappropriate to other students as well as administrators. It's freedom of speech that is not okay in a learning enviornment where people are trying to learn. Freedom, for myself is something I dont take for granted because I fear that my mom will take away my freedom and i'm going to be stuck in the house. I can do alot of things but I make sure that every decision i make, i am doing the right thing and not putting myslef in danger. I assure my mom that I am safe and that I will check with her every couple of hours. Watching everything I say and do ensures me that my freedom isnt being abused. Equality is when everyone has the same privledges and rights. I believe that everyone no matter their race, gender,or ethnicity, should have the same rights because everyone is equal. If people were inequal, I would refer to it as acts of racist times. Back then,it was only white people above everyone else. people were prejudice and that wasnt right. Now, it is the 21st century and gay people should be able to get married because they are human too and its not another persons obligation to judge them on their sexual preference or care about what happens behind closed doors. people are people. we should all be equal.
To me, freedom means being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Equality is more of an idea. It means that you and everyone else are on the same level; no one is better than you and you aren't better than anyone else.
These are definitely taken for granted because they are used as excuses. Freedom is used to justify your actions. Like if you are tapping your pencil on the table and someone asks you to stop, more often then not your response will be "Why? It's a free country." Some people, however, cherish this idea because they may have come from a place where freedom doesn't exist so when they come to the U.S and have so much freedom they are grateful. Equality, on the other hand, doesn't really exist in the U.S because of the social and economical classes you are put in. It is also taken for granted because people say that we are all equals but no one really treats others as their equals. They are both taken for granted because there are more opportunities to break these ideas than to uphold them.
Liberty is a persons freedom and democracy is a government for the people by the people. I think that they are both important because they balance each other out. A persons freedom is limited because the government built up a set of laws to restrict what someone can and cannot do. The governments power is limited by a persons God given rights. Like freedom of speech and freedom to protest. Both must work hand in hand for a community to succeed or we will descend into total anarchy.
Equality is when everyone is equal nobody superior or lower. That the right of a man is to be equal not controlled and the rights of freedom. Nobody will be able to control and lead you to something you don’t like or feel right. People will be able to branch out and have the same rights as others. To me freedom is being able to step outside of my home and know radical groups and fantasist are not going to blow me up or gun me down. Freedom is speaking your own mine do what you feel is right and have the freedom to talk, dress and acted how u want. Being free of restraints imposed by others. Real freedom is rather you can reject what you do not want to do. I think some people take them forgatted and so don’t but it all depends on how the people think and acted. The different between democracy and liberty is that democracy is a form of government in which all citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives and liberty is when just like freedom you choose what right for you and decide on what you want. To me liberty is important because as we the people we have to do what’s right for use and the government would do what they want and think its right for use but they don’t. so liberty is more important to me. That among these are life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I think freedom is being free to the point where you’re not being closely watched or detained, but you have your own space. Equality is where everyone is equal at a point. I think it is something most people take for granted because they don’t what its like to be confined or where some people have a higher position in authority or also power than them. Yet, it is something that we all should hold preciously because up to this very day, we have had a lot of people fight for everyone’s equality and freedom. I think the difference between liberty and democracy is that they are two different types of freedom. Liberty is where there is no type of control, but there is independence. Democracy is where you have the government and all their people who help rule the people. I think liberty is more important because it is the freedom of everyone even though we all need some type of control to help lead us.
i think equality is when everyone has their own equal rights and where everyone has their own state of point. Freedom is when a person has their choice of being of who is closely being watched and and having your own space. These rights are not precious to me in some ways because the government rules over the people's taxes and also its education. The difference between liberty and democracy is that liberty makes its the person want to have their own choice and no type of control against their independence, democracy is where the government helps rule over the people. I think liberty is more important because its something that you have a right for and not only you can hold it for precious and making it your way but also the government has some right to do so as well. Democracy is not important to me because it makes the government rule over us and over our rights. Also like in the Declaration of Independence it makes our country a better place to understand this meaning of what is equality, and what is democracy.
For me, i think Freedom is when your basically free, and have no rights to anything nor anybody being the boss of you or telling you what to do. You can do anything you want, because no one will stop you. For equality, i think they have a limit to there rights, basically all equal rights. Liberty is the same as to freedom, its just another word for it, like that famous quuote "Give me Liberty or give me death!" meaning give me freedom or let me die. Then for Democracy it has to deal with the government to make a better place or not. Those are the differences and similarities to each other.
To me, freedom means being free to do anything I want. Equality means everyone has the same rights. They both mean independence because we have freedom to do whatever we want and this is because we have equal laws. In my mind we don’t have full freedom. We’re not free to steal whatever we like or shoot up all the people we don’t like. I mean we are free to do these things but there are consequences. When people tell me I can’t do something I would always respond saying, “It’s a free country!…..with laws.” And I also think we aren’t actually equal. Like sometimes laws don’t apply to the wealthy. They could do something shady and the people responsible of making sure the laws are followed would turn their heads the other way. To be honest, I take these rights for granted. I don’t exactly wake up in the morning thinking about how lucky I am to possess these rights. It’s not something we go to school and discuss with your group of friends. But if I think about it I think we’re very lucky to be living in this nation because of that. I mean the whole reason people came to America was so they can be free. Liberty is freedom and democracy is a government in which people participate and vote. Democracy is more important to me because I think that our liberty is somewhat limited any ways so at least we get to have a say in what goes on when we vote.
FREEDOM AND EQUALITY MEANS A LOT TO ME BECAUSE FREEDOM YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WHENEVER YOU WANT AS LONG AS YOU DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANITE. EQUALITY IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE I AM EQUAL TO EVERYONE AS A HUMAN BEING AND I CANNOT BE EXCLUDED FROM HUMAN BEINGS. THESE RIGHTS ARE SOMETHING I HOLD PRECIOUS BECAUSE ANYBODY COULD HAVE BEEN TREATED DIFFERENTLY BUT THEY DIDN'T SO IM GLAD ABOUT THAT ALSO SOME PEOPLE IN THE OLD DAYS DIDN'T HAVE THESE RIGHTS SO THAT IS ANOTHER REASON I AM GLAD ABOUT THAT. LIBERTY IS FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY IS BEING CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT.LIBERTY IS MORE IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE ITS ALL ABOUT FREEDOM AND FREEDOM ROCKS.
equality and freedom means a lot to me but then again i do sometimes take it for granite. freedom and equality to me means the right to do what i want and to be treated equally as the other person. liberty to me is to be politically free while equality means to be treated the same and to have the same opportunity and prevlieges. i honestly don't really hold these thing precious. i find that now a days people dont hold it precious and instead hold it for granite. people do thing that puts there liberty and equality at risk and show no sign of holding it precious. liberty is freedom from arbitrary government while democracy means government ruled by the people especially majority rule. out of the two what i prefer is democracy because democracy there is organization compared to liberty, to reach liberty actions must be done whether radical or not. so democracy is what i would pick.
So basically freedom to me is the rights that benefit an individual. Equality on the other hand is equal share of treatment of all but it doesn't necessarily mean that it benefits them. Like I said, communist countries like North Korea might make all the citizens equal from each other, because of Communist ideals, but is far from giving any type of freedom to the citizens. My favorite set of laws that I find really precious and will not take for granted are the Bill of Rights particularly the first amendment. The first amendment guarantees all basic freedoms: speech, religion, press, petition, and peacefully assemble. Countries these days don't even have basic laws like that, and the countries that do have those type of laws, are too corrupt to enforce it. For example in the Philippines where I come from try have laws guaranteeing the freedom of press but sometimes these opinions causes problems and eventually are censored. Also in other countries like Russia or Iraq where journalist work, are killed for saying something bad against the current govt. That what makes these laws so precious. Liberty is an individuals freedom and basically not even order and laws is going to maintain that freedom.Democracy is the majority of the people that run the government that enforces laws and such. At first I was all for liberty because of the freedom you get, but too much of anything is bad, too much liberty can result in an anarchy. What type or freedom can you get with no order or leader. Democracy on the other hand can maintain order, make laws for the people to regulate anything that might be too bad, and also give sometime of " liberty" to the people in an extent.
Freedom is the liberty of opinion, action, and thought for the individual. One can choose what to do and what not to do. One can think freely without having thoughts programmed into their heads. You can move freely and openly, say what you want, and not fear being shushed or detained. Equality is more broad; people can be equally broke and desperate or equally wealthy and satisfied. We have a limited amount of liberty because we are restrained by the government in many areas, but we have moved a long way in comparison to the liberty that the people of before had. What our country has focused more on is equality. Although the reality still displays preference to the upper class and those of a higher rank, we do have many natural born rights which allow us to feel more free and liberated. We do take these things for granted because we've become accustomed to the feeling of it, we always want more and more. Schools show us how much we've progressed, but we still feel that we can do so much more, live so much more freely with so many less pressures and obligations to satisfy society. I accept that I take these things for granted much of the time, but that's only because I like to motivate myself to push more, to work harder, to succeed and attempt to excel in order to reach the status that I wish to reach. My liberty is precious to me, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to abuse it. I set my own limits and boundaries which now come natural to me. Now, democracy is associated a lot with liberty, but they aren't exactly equal. Liberty is freedom to the individual while democracy is the average choice. Everyone votes on what the limits should be and the most preferred option wins whether you agree or not. Democracy allows some liberty, but in reality all it does is set limits to liberty. To me liberty is more important. I appreciate it more, and it's something that comes natural and isn't corrupted and pressured onto us (well, me at least). Like I said, I set my own limits to stay aways from trouble, feel comfortable, and allow others to live comfortably as well, however, I won't allow it to be manipulated. I will stand up and fight if my liberty and comfort is ever at stake.
Freedom is to be able to be free without any restraints while liberty is to be free from control. I take my freedom and liberty for granite because Ido not voice my opinion. I am lucky that I have the amount of freedom and liberty that I do have in The United States. In some countries the amount you have is limited and in some eras not everyone has freedom or liberty. There is an extent though to how much freedom and liberty a person can have. Although we are able to voice our opinions we can only say so much. We are not able to say we are going to attack the president because then you can get in trouble so there is a limit on how much freedom we are able to have. For liberty though you are able to have your own choice, thoughts and actions without being controlled. With liberty you can have your own opinion on the government or any subject matter you are not being controlled do you can do whatever you please. Liberty is freedom from control and Democracy is a government in which people vote. Liberty is important because if you aren't being controlled then there would be no need for a government so you wouldn't need democracy. But democracy helps regulate and guard the nation against tyranny and your liberty will be limited. To much liberty can be bad so democracy and liberty work hand in hand without the other there would be chaos.
Freedom and equality is something you can have to express and say what you feel. It let you do things on what you think is right with out punishment. It is something as humans we crave and need.Without it we would have no emotions, no opinions, and no morality.I hold these things precious. As i grew up i was always rebellious. Without my freedom and equality I'll try to break loose for it. Many times this did happen, as i broke down the wall of restrictions my parent had on me.Liberty is freedom in the decisions you make and the opinions you have. While democracy is a majority rule type of thing. I agree with liberty because democracy can take away liberty. Even if it's majority rule, what if the decision being made is good for the people who wanted it but not good for the people who doesn't need it.Many times we need both to balance an imperfect society. With this we can only hope that brighter days are to come in the future
Freedom means being able to be yourself in every sense to me. Equality means I am the same as my peers. It means I am held at the same standards and expectations as everyone around me. People have the right to be free or equal upon choice. Yes, these rights are something I take for granted every day. I never stop to think about how lucky I am to be able to express myself as an individual person. Liberty is the ability for me to have control over my own actions. Democracy is a form of government in which citizens have a say in decisions that affect their lives. They are able to put their “two-cents” in and they are allowed to participate in politics. Liberty is the most important to me. I want to be able to be my own person without restrictions. I want to be able to be free and not have to report to any authority.
In my own opinion freedom means to be exempted from all outer control. Equality means that I am held at the same respect as my friends, family, or teachers. I am equivalent to any other human being. These rights are things that I hold precious. I remind myself that it is very possible for me to live in a country where I can be suppressed. I am lucky enough to live in America, a country that allows us to be free to a certain extent. Liberty is freedom from the government and democracy is a government where I can put my opinion in. If you are liberal, you are not affiliated with any other party. You are completely free minded. While in a democracy you have to work together with other people to work towards what is best for everyone. Democracy is more important to me. In life you are not alone. You have family, other people that you depend on and vice versa. You can not only do what’s best for yourself. You have work together with others to achieve social equality.
Freedom means that you are not bound to anyone or anything. You live on free will and nothing else. While equality means that you are equal with everyone else, nobody is more superior than you. Meaning it doesn't matter what race, language, or country you're from, you're about as equal as the person standing near you. Liberty and democracy also have two different meanings. Liberty means to not be ruled by the government while, a democracy is when you give your input into a government so that they have your best values at heart. Liberty means that we are free to a certain extent. A democracy is when you put input into an elected official that has your best interests at heart. I personally think a democracy is more important to me because een though we're not as free as liberty, we still govern ourselves. Without a democracy then our world would be thrown into chaos and anarchy based on the amount of freedom we have.
Freedom and equality are more different than simmilar this can be explained with history which I think is why this terms were created even thought they might or might not existed at some point. Freedom is the liberty to do as one desires, freedom on its own has no limits it is a person's thoughts or desires being done because the have the capability of this thoughts and esires can be good or bad but because there isn't a limit to freedom this person will accoplish his wishes. Thats why authority is essential but no authority with the freedom of doing as the wish. Equality can be seeing as a moral because it basically means everyone has the same spiritual value none is worth more nor less. It's said we're all equal which i belive is not true because we are all different with different ways of thinking, acting, etc. Equality is just a term to prevent people from doing harm to other because we are all human beings that deserve to be respected. Equality maintains a more peaceful enviroment between the actual segregation of people.I don't take freedom nor equality for granted but i probaly would if i didn't know history since i was born free and equal to everyone else. Liberty is all the freedom aperson has used with out restrictions. Democacry is that same liberty with restrictions and morals that keep, that make liberty not seem so liberal but without limist there would be caos. Therefore i belive democacy is more important.
To me, freedom means being able to do and say whatever I want to when I want to. I would have to be in some kind of self-contained location to do this. I would have to be self-sufficient and for me at this stage of my life this would be next to impossible. Living in a city like San Leandro, being part of a society is what I’m comfortable with. Sure there are rules, regulations and laws which limit my freedoms. I appreciate all these restrictions because it keeps the society orderly. To me, equality means all things being equal. That I am entitled to the same rights as the next person. Liberty is the freedoms guarantee by the constitution and law. Democracy is the function of getting your liberty. To me, liberty is the most important because it’s your freedom and right and guarantee through the democratic process.
To me, freedom and equality are two different traits. Freedom is the ability to do as you please, and equality is the state of being in the same standard of living and rights as others. Coming from another nation that does not necessarily have either of these qualities, I really do treasure those two rights. Whenever I can demonstrate or exercise them, I like to do so in order to display the great benefits of living in a nation which guarantees those rights. When it comes to liberty and democracy, there are two different, and rather far apart, definitions. Liberty is the natural right of man to have the freedom to do as he pleases, while Democracy is a selected right by the majority to have the power to choose what to do. The two key words in the two different definitions are freedom and power. Freedom is an almost pure concept, with the exception of naturally heinous activities, freedom is one of the greatest ideas of man that has prevailed since the dawn of time because it is a trait naturally built for mankind. Power on the other hand, can be a two way street. As in many democracies, power by majority can lead to a government and laws that people want. However, an excess of power can also cause mob rule and curb whatever benefits that democracy offers. In the end, I would choose liberty over democracy any time because not only is it a natural and pure right that we have as man, but for the fact that democracy also can have negative consequences to it as well.

ReplyDeleteLiberty is freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc. power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice. ReplyDeleteBoth of these rights, I do take for granted, because they are topics not commonly discussed about.

ReplyDeleteFreedom and equality.

ReplyDeleteFreedom and Equality can both lead to a main point which is in my opinion peoples individual rights.

ReplyDeleteFreedom and equality, to me work both hand in hand for one.
ReplyDeleteThese are definitely taken for granted because they are used as excuses.
ReplyDeleteI think freedom is being free to the point where you’re not being closely watched or detained, but you have your own space.
ReplyDeletei think equality is when everyone has their own equal rights and where everyone has their own state of point.
ReplyDeleteFor me, i think Freedom is when your basically free, and have no rights to anything nor anybody being the boss of you or telling you what to do.
ReplyDeleteTo me, freedom means being free to do anything I want.
ReplyDeleteLiberty is freedom and democracy is a government in which people participate and vote.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteequality and freedom means a lot to me but then again i do sometimes take it for granite. freedom and equality to me means the right to do what i want and to be treated equally as the other person. liberty to me is to be politically free while equality means to be treated the same and to have the same opportunity and prevlieges. i honestly don't really hold these thing precious. i find that now a days people dont hold it precious and instead hold it for granite. people do thing that puts there liberty and equality at risk and show no sign of holding it precious. liberty is freedom from arbitrary government while democracy means government ruled by the people especially majority rule. out of the two what i prefer is democracy because democracy there is organization compared to liberty, to reach liberty actions must be done whether radical or not. so democracy is what i would pick.
ReplyDeleteSo basically freedom to me is the rights that benefit an individual.
ReplyDeleteFreedom is the liberty of opinion, action, and thought for the individual.
ReplyDeleteFreedom is to be able to be free without any restraints while liberty is to be free from control.
ReplyDeleteFreedom and equality is something you can have to express and say what you feel.
ReplyDeleteFreedom means being able to be yourself in every sense to me.
ReplyDeleteIn my own opinion freedom means to be exempted from all outer control.
ReplyDeleteAidan A.
ReplyDeleteFreedom means that you are not bound to anyone or anything.

ReplyDeleteTo me, freedom means being able to do and say whatever I want to when I want to.
